—Super Diesel, Description (Hill Climb Racing 2) |
The Super Diesel 4x4 (also known as just Super Diesel; not officially until HCR2) is a dark blue lifted diesel pickup truck. It costs 500,000 coins to unlock. It appears in both Hill Climb Racing and its sequel.
Design[]
The Super Diesel 4x4 is based on the fourth generation Ram Pickup, particularly the 2010-2018 2500 Heavy Duty (by the fact that it's a diesel). For unknown reasons, it rather has the 1500's 5'7 short bed. Believe it or not, it could actually be a 1500 Crew Cab with the then-all-new "EcoDiesel" V6 engine (which was built around the time the Super Diesel 4x4 was added), missing an extra door handle, a second row seat, and no roof, making it a convertible, On the bed appears to be dual black exhaust pipes and possibly a spare tire (not a gooseneck hitch as the latter is invisible from the side view).,
A noticeable detail underneath the doors is actually a step bar, which is a part commonly seen on pickup trucks, as well as larger SUVs.
The HCR2 version (see here) now has a roof, a single chrome exhaust pipe, an antenna (which the original didn't have), removed "4x4" in its name, and appears to have no lift kit (making it a "bone stock" vehicle). Also now based on the third generation Ford F-Series Super Duty, particularly an F-250 in SuperCab configuration (albeit having an extra door handle similar to the former (since 2002 third generation actually), 2014-present GM trucks (both Chevrolet and GMC), and all Toyota Tundra generations, even 2000-2006).
Tradeoffs[]
Advantages | The vehicle has a powerful engine, strong suspension, and potentially long fuel duration, making it possible to travel further in one run. The engine has a turbo which boosts the torque (force of acceleration). Additionally, the strong suspension helps prevent chassis strikes, which could cause inconvenience and the vehicle to lose control. |
---|---|
Disadvantages | It being a heavy vehicle can make it hard to travel on very steep bumps, like on Countryside and Mountain. The large distance between wheels makes it more possible for the vehicle to get stuck on steep terrain. The same problem also applies to the Dragster. |
The vehicle is unique in the way that it has a turbo, which boosts the engine and has a whistling sound when the engine is at high power. Its disadvantages aren't too bad, while its advantages are very significant, making this vehicle a rather good choice. Whenever the gas is pressed on, it'll roll coal every time.
Upgrades[]
The Engine upgrades increase acceleration and top speed, the Suspension upgrades allow the vehicle to better absorb bumps, the Tires upgrades increases the traction level of its tires, and the Fuel upgrades increase its fuel capacity, allowing the car to go further without refueling the more it is upgraded.
The Tires and Fuel upgrades are the most expensive upgrade categories, followed by the Engine upgrades; the Suspension upgrades are the cheapest category to max out. The total cost of all the upgrades is 9 021 350 coins, and the costs in each category are listed in the chart below.

Trivia[]
- In the first game, like the Tractor, Tourist Bus, Truck, Dune Buggy and Fire Truck, it has its mean-sounding thundery engine roar. This, and along with Truck, were the first two vehicles to receive this.
- It is unknown why did this even apply to the Dune Buggy, despite that vehicle not actually being a diesel as since it doesn't even roll coal nor blow black smoke at all (like in real-life). It should've been the then-future Super Offroad's sound, or an entirely new one not in-game (even though it is quite fixable via APK Editor game files).
- Obviously because the sound effect could be based on the vehicle's design.

- Bad grammar: The unlock description should've been "this is really a unique experience!" not "this really is an unique experience!".
- The 2022 RAM 2500 (BullHorn Buffalo HD) Lifted from Roblox's Greenville took inspiration from this.
