The Hotrod costs 1,500,000 coins, the same price as the Moonlander, so it counts as one of the most expensive vehicles in the game.
It looks like a typical hotrod.
However, while it is indeed true that the Hot Rod has good fuel duration (45 seconds), and has great speed, it still has a bunch of small but pretty major flaws:
- The upgrade costs are VERY expensive. Even upgrading the Rear Tire Size to Level 4 costs 192,000 coins, on which the 192,000 coins would have been used to upgrade vehicles with cheap upgrade costs, like Hill Climber.
- Speaking of upgrades, it could only go fast with small tires. Upgrading the tires makes it slower. And also, the more you upgrade the engine, the more heavier it is, which might become a problem at climbing hills due to its higher weight point as the engine is upgraded. Only the 4WD needs upgrades. (credits to a user who commented below for the suggestion about upgrade problems)
Despite those problems, if you really know what you are doing, you could perhaps reach great distances with the Hot Rod, thanks to its high fuel duration, and its great speed.
Of course, the roof can be breakable, and is a bit fragile, so watch out for incoming ceiling obstacles.
